Ipswich Town’s newest signing, Arijanet Muric, has expressed his excitement about joining the club and working with manager Kieran McKenna. In an interview with Town TV, Muric discussed his decision to join Ipswich and his expectations for the upcoming season.

“I’m very glad to get the move done and I’m looking forward to the new season,” Muric said. “I was open to talk to the club because I saw Ipswich last season and I was really, really impressed. That was the most interesting thing for me, the way they play, it suits me.”

Muric also revealed that he has a prior relationship with McKenna, who he met during his time at Manchester United. “I’ve known him for a long time because I had a trial at [Manchester] United,” Muric explained. “He was the manager of the under-18’s then, and during my time at the academy [at Manchester City], I played against them a few times.”

“Football wise, he knows me a little bit. We had a great talk together and I’m looking forward to the next years,” Muric added.

Muric’s move to Ipswich is seen as a significant signing for the club, who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. The 25-year-old goalkeeper has previously played for Manchester City and Burnley, and has experience in the Premier League.
