Dobbin’s Time at Everton
The 21-year-old made 15 first-team appearances for Sean Dyche’s side last season, but started just one Premier League match. Despite his limited playing time, Dobbin did manage to score his first Everton goal as a substitute in the 2-0 league victory over Chelsea in December 2023.
Prior to his time with Everton, Dobbin spent the 2022-23 season with Derby County, who were in League One at the time. He made 54 appearances and scored five goals across all competitions during his loan spell.
“Everyone at the club would like to thank Lewis for his contribution, from his journey through our academy to senior team, and we wish him all the best for the future.” - Everton statement
A New Chapter at Aston Villa
Dobbin’s move to Villa marks a new chapter in his career, and the young player will be looking to make a significant impact at his new club. With Villa’s Premier League rivals Everton, Dobbin had struggled to break into the starting lineup, but he will be hoping to establish himself as a regular starter at Villa Park.

In a separate transaction between the clubs, Everton have completed the signing of Villa midfielder Tim Iroegbunam on a three-year deal.
Aston Villa will be hoping that Dobbin’s signing will bring a fresh injection of talent and energy to their squad, as they look to push on in the Premier League.
