Uncertainty at Chelsea Fails to Deter Premier League Star
Despite the recent departure of Mauricio Pochettino, one Premier League star remains keen on making the move to Stamford Bridge. Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran, who was linked with a move to Chelsea in January, is still open to joining the Blues, according to his agent Jonathan Herrera.
Chelsea FC
Herrera has stated that Duran’s interest in joining Chelsea is not dependent on Pochettino’s presence at the club, but rather the club itself. “He is a player who has a contract with Aston Villa, he ended up doing very well and the coach is counting on him, it is a great opportunity, but we know he wants to play, we are going to see,” Herrera told Caracol Radio.
Jhon Duran
Duran has struggled to break into the Villa side due to the impressive form of Ollie Watkins, but he has shown flashes of his talent with five goals in 25 appearances. It remains to be seen if Chelsea will make a move for the Colombian this summer, with the club ideally needing a more experienced ready-made option at the top end of the pitch.
Stamford Bridge
The uncertainty surrounding the club’s management has not deterred Duran’s interest in joining Chelsea, and it appears the Blues could still be an attractive proposition to players this summer, particularly for young talents.
Premier League
